Andy17
I know the discussion about SEO friend URLs has been brought up multiple times, but I have a more precise question; I read the following phrase: Do not use too general parameters like ID; it will be ignored by Google as it thinks it's a session ID. I am using id as a parameter on my website; do you guys think I should change it into something else, or is this just something someone made up? Thank you. dropfaith
i normally try to avoid using ids for this reason i use Name and have actual text up there seems to help out a bit for me plus for people who try to remember links a name is better then a random number to remember if the content matches the name Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/127594-solved-question-regarding-url-parameter/#findComment-660178 Share on other sites

darksystem
actually what you only need to learn is mod_rewrite. You can rewrite urls that has an id to identify pages/products/articles etc etc. Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/127594-solved-question-regarding-url-parameter/#findComment-672674 Share on other sites
