aq_sandy
Hello, I have recently begun using a system with Red Hat Linux EL5. I have installed intel fortran and c compilers as I wasn’t sure what compilers would have come with the system. I am attempting to set up a numerical weather prediction model, WRF. However, being able to use the model depends on having netcdf installed which in turn requires hdf5 and zlib libraries. Zlib seems to install ok, I get a message saying "*** zlib test ok ***" after I "make check" but hdf5 produces errors: "checking for char... Yes Checking size of char... Configure: error: cannot compute sizeof (char)" Also problems with "error while loading shared libraries: libimf.so: cannot open shared object file..." I don't know any linux experts so was wondering if you had encountered these errors before and were aware of any solutions? Many thanks for your tim Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/127683-netcdf-hdf5-zlib/ Share on other sites
