File Download Limiter

How can I limit the number of times a file can be downloaded for a specific user? I created a website for a recording company so they can sell their band's music through their website. Once a song is purchased, I only want that person to be able to download it once. I have all the order info stored in a MySql database as well as the song info such as location, file name, etc. but can't figure out the best way to do this so people can't just figure out the link and send it to all their friends. Any suggestions would be nice.
