Logos

Hmm...

I do think the logos lack 'polish'. I mean no offense by this comment. I really don't. But they definitely lean towards ultra plain.

I also noticed that you sell them in PSD format.. I think logos should always be built and served in some form of vector format (a la Adobe Illustrator by example). Having them in vector format means no matter what scale, the image will be crisp and clean. You could of course sell it in vector with complimentary pixel-based incase your client doesn't have any access to vector-based programs. Pixel-based imagery can be an issue.

If you do only offer it in pixel format , at the very least, offer them in a very large size at 300 dpi (not sure if this is the case or not).

The presentation of it all doesn't 'wow me'. I think if the logo designs were overhauled and put in page with fancier presentation, it might attract more business. Just do a google search on logo designs... see what sites that offer such comparable things are doing.. notice the copy they use, the layout, the presentation.. Always compare what you have to others, ask what they are doing that is better than you, and don't be afraid to borrow / emulate this (Sam Walton, founder of Wal*mart had no shame in mimicking aspects that the competition was doing).

I think this is all I can really offer as opinion  / advice.

Hope it helps..

Cheers,

NRG

Why contact you to buy the logo?

Why can't you just make a script that automatically sends the logos that they bought once they sent the money?

Because it's a whole lot of work for something that I don't know is going to be successful or not.

nrg, thanks for the advice. I'll have a look around and see what I come up with. I've been thinking about setting up a website entirely for selling cheap logos.
