PHP MYSQL INSTALLED & WORKING ON MAC 10.5.5 FOR PHP DEVELOPMENT

Recommended Posts

Hello guys... I want to start doing php development again on my mac that has 10.5.5 installed.

I am all confused as to what I should do. I had php working on my mac last year.

Then the mac OS upgraded to from tiger to leopard and my Apache, Php, and MySQL stopped working.

I downloaded the lastest version of mamp and still no luck. CAN SOMEONE WALK ME THROUGH THE PROCESS OF SETTING UP MY SERVER so I CAN DO PHP DEVELOPMENT?

THANKS in ADVANCED

Hi

Okay in my MAMP the Apache server was not on however, the MySQL was active. So would you be so kind to walk me through step by step on how to set up /compile the "AMP" so I am able to do PHP DEVELOPMENT? This is very frustrating and I would love to do PHP DEVELOPMENT on my mac for a change in addition to my PC.

thx

Okay in my MAMP the Apache server was not on however, the MySQL was active.

You mean Apache is not running? If so you should be able to start/stop Apache via the MAMP control panel.

Sorry I cannot really provide much help over setting up AMP on a Mac as I do not have access to a Mac.
