slushpuppie
i know this is an odd question, and isn't the best approach, but i'm using existing database structure and don't want to alter it for fear of ruining anything in existing code. but anyway, i have a database table that is essentially ID | Name and i have a query, where i'd like to return the ID's in a non-logical order, like 3,4,2,1,5,6,9,8,7 - is there anyway to simply do that in an ORDER BY clause? if not - i'll add a column to the table called "order_by" or something and insert values, but figured i'd ask i guess this could be useful again somehow. thanks.
