need a script for email validation

Hi I have an email script you don't need an email address to send a message but this is not good.
does anyone one have a code that I can add to my script so the user must fill in the fields and have a valid email to send an email

look up email php in google ok.

to valadate an email address you use eregi ok.

try to design your own code this is not the 3rd party forum ok.

This is what I use

this will check if the entered email appears to be valid and if it is, you either set a var to be true as it is above or you can just call your email script depending on what else may need to be done.
