Changing directory listing attributes

As a *TOTAL* newbie I am stuck.

 

I would like to be able to display a directory listing (being served by Apache) from acending to DEcending.

 

A quick search tells me about the MOD_AUTOINDEX module and IndexingOptions - but it doesn't mean much to me.

 

Would someone be able to give me a quick guide on how to do it?

if you edit the httpd.conf file you should see a directory section.  add this line - IndexOptions +FancyIndexing

 

This will the site viewer to resort the listing by clicking on the header.  But be aware that there is some over head associated with fancyindexing.
