glenelkins
Hi Im getting quite frustrated. I have a navigation made up with

and styled in css to create rollovers using background images The problem is, im writing some JS to create drop downs using a
placed inside the
. But the links are inheriting the
link styles even though iv created a seperate class for the
Any ideas on how i can stop the inheritance ? laPistola
without seeing your code i can only advice that you read up on Specifici (spelling might be wrong) basicly the more selectors a rule has the more points it gets so li { } has less points then li div { } so li div { } having the more Specifici points will over rule any rules its inherting from its parent Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/136064-prevent-inheritance/#findComment-714909 Share on other sites
