http://us.php.net/manual/en/function.mysql-fetch-array.php

<?php
mysql_connect("localhost", "mysql_user", "mysql_password") or
    die("Could not connect: " . mysql_error());// connect to db
mysql_select_db("mydb");

$result = mysql_query("SELECT id, name FROM mytable"); //ur query here

while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($result, MYSQL_ASSOC)) {
    printf("ID: %s  Name: %s", $row["id"], $row["name"]);//echo out here
}

mysql_free_result($result);
?>

Ted

Thanks for that Ted but I think I must be in dumb mode tonight.

I get the first bit because that just connects to the database.

But what does id, name mean? And what should I be putting as my id, name if I want it to display all columns of all records?
