Trying to add an Image resize script to current script

Hi everyone I'm new here,

I have been developing a site called real guitars for some time now but I need help with the following script.

Where it is says //add pictures?, I need to be able to insert an image resize script for all three product photo uploads, it needs to be for example: original photo 1246 x 511 pixels and resized to a specific size example: 300 x 300 and after resized the original image should be deleted. I'm sure someone would kindly be able to help me out.

Re-Sizing the Uploaded Image

To resize the uploaded image we use the pnmscale function which scales images in the PNM format. We use djpeg to convert the JPEG images to PNM, and cjpeg to convert them back. Here's the code to convert, scale and write out a scaled JPG image.

I got this from a quick google search, I had to do the same thing you are figuring out now and it helped out a great bit. Also it needs to be the most common formats of images so jpeg, jpg, png, gif, etc..

Hi motrellik,

Just a word of caution, you may want think about your file upload security. This is a gaping open door for hackers to do all kinds of malicious things against your web application. Here's an article I wrote on uploading security http://www.solutionbot.com/2008/12/27/secure-file-upload/. This checks more than just the file extension, it checks to make sure that the request comes from the same server, the extension is whitelisted and evil files are black listed, the file is not executable, the file is not larger than we want, and that the file is a valid file that was really uploaded from the browser and not from some other protocol such as ftp.
