How can I make the page reload without using javascript once an item has been selected in a drop down select box on a form?

<form name="postad" method="post" action='submidad.php'>
<tr><td><h1>EDIT AD Ref <?=$id?></h1></td></tr>
<tr><td>
<table class="postadmain">
<tr><td>&nbsp</td></tr>
<tr><td><span id="t_cat">CATEGORY</span></td></tr>
<tr><td>

<?

$sql01 = "select * from tblcatdetails";
$run_query = mysql_query($sql01);
echo '<select name="category"><option name="category">Select One</option>';
while($row = mysql_fetch_array($run_query)) {
echo '<option value="'.$row['intCatID'].'">'.$row['category'].'</option>';
}
$selected =$row['intCatID'];
header ("location: test.php?subid=$selected");
exit;
?>
</td></tr>
