Retreive value from another table using id

Hi,

 

Im looking for some help with a query im trying to do.

 

I have 2 tables:

 

tblsections

 

sectionid  |  name

------------|------------------

      1        |    Gifts

 

tblsubsections

 

subsectionid  |  sectionid

----------------|----------------

        12        |        1

 

 

Using the subsectionid i am trying to write a query that retrieves the name value from tblsections.

INNER JOIN tblsubsections ON tblsubsections.sectionid=tblsections.sectionid
WHERE tblsubsections.subsectionid = '12'"

where the '12' at the end is the value you are basing your search on, can be a variable too
