rhodesa
in your CSS, update the background style to this: background:#FFFFFF url(images/body_backg.png) repeat fixed; Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/142483-solved-help/#findComment-746552 Share on other sites

rhodesa
p.s. the reason it flickers is cus you alternate between two extremely different colors every pixel. monitors can't handle that. phpmania1
Hmm. the things you learn. I have a new question, about my banner. When I finally get one I like, I want it to STAY! STAY!... Now, position absolute makes it stay. position relative is a little finicky but will work. but, since this is a free host, they place an ad at the top of my screen which comes and goes when it feels. When it is there, "hey the headers where it is supposed to go" when the banner takes a break, "the banners in the middle of the screen?" any pointers... guess this is more of a css Q. haku
Pointer: pay money to get a host that won't spam your site with banners. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/142483-solved-help/#findComment-747139 Share on other sites
Sudden
there are sites that wont force adds...but they make you go through a proxy, so people know who supports the site. Nothing is truely free. phpmania1
I'm well aware, thanks fo rthe pointer. The free host is merely for the process of getting the site ready to publish on a purchased domain. My host is very fair and reliable so I do not mind a banner well I am configuring my page. haku
Sounds like you are minding it! Why don't you just get wamp, mamp or lamp (depending on whether you are using windows, mac, or 'nix) and develop locally?
