BioBob
Can anyone recommend a way to do both a left and a right full Page, not screen Sidebar that does NOT require the use of javascript, and IS cross browser compatible? If you think its really that easy, try it yourself and you'll find that this is a bugger of a problem for us newbies...
haku
Look up 'faux columns'. Hard to say for sure if that is what you were looking for, as your explanation wasn't very good, but I'm thinking it may be.
SuperBlue
While this is possible using both floats and absolute positioning, i would rather avoid this type of layout, until CSS has become better supported. It would seam that it requires a lot of wrappers, or additional divisions to fake the effect of equal height columns. Something I'd rather avoid, also since i already got enough "divitis" on a few of my sites as-is..
haku
Are you speaking of faux columns? It works absolutely fine, and doesn't require any extra HTML at all. It just requires using an image for the background of the main div, instead of separate images for each of the columns.
SuperBlue
Before the browser zoom functionality, that wouldn't have worked very well, since it would require a fixed width.
