Mike088 Posted February 11, 2009 Share Posted February 11, 2009 Hey everyone, I've noticed some php coded web pages in which when you hover over a link there is nothing displayed in the browsers status area along with right clicking on the link will not show a properties selection in the menu... RichardRotterdam Posted February 11, 2009 Share Posted February 11, 2009 It could be a javascript link if the href attribute is empty then nothing is shown. However it's unadvisable for normal links. gethinw Posted February 11, 2009 Share Posted February 11, 2009 I suspect it's probably done with css, and the link isn't actually a link as in an 'a' tag, but a 'span' or similar element with style="cursor:pointer" attribute (or similar in a separate stylesheet) to give a 'hand' cursor when hovering over it, and an onclick event triggering some javascript so it does something when you click it.
