Installing php-5.2.8-win32-installer.msi problem!

Recommended Posts

Need help installing php-5.2.8-win32-installer.msi on inviroment (WindowsXP service back 3 with most recent updates + IIS 5.1), I am trying to install it as an ISAPI module, I am a member in Administrators group.

Upon trying to install it gives me the following error alert:

[There is a problem with this Windows Installer package.

A script required for this install to complete could not be run.

Contact your support personnel or package vendor.]

I have tried to reinstall the MSI but told me that I have the latest version and needn't to update.

Please, help me in this case.

Thanks in advance.

It's a common problem have I noticed. A way to solve this is just download the binaries insted of the msi file. Just download, extract to C:\php, set a enviroment variable (if you wish) and that's all you have to do!
