ricky spires Posted February 19, 2009 Share Posted February 19, 2009 hello, ok. this is a bit of a sob story and to be honest i'm a little embarrassed but to cut a long story short, a year ago i paid a company to build a web site for me and now i cant afford to finish the project. i have watched all the php video tutorial but the site is far beyond my level and i simply dont have a penny to hire a freelancer the site is www.eventtrafik.com and it 95% + finished. the problem is there are loads of bugs, little things that i would like to fix or need changing. i dont want someone to just do all the work. i would like to learn with someone as we go through the problems. this is a list. its looks long but im sure if i knew what i was doing it wouldn't take that long. im pulling my hair out at the moment and i would be really grateful for any help. many thanks ricky www.eventtrafik.com Logins guest@eventtrafik.com - guest organiser@eventtrafik.com - organiser promoter@eventtrafik.com - promoter services@eventtrafik.com - services INDEX PAGE language features not working REGISTER PAGE 1 – all the emails sent for activating and notification all still say which is my old web site THE EVENT ORGANISER from - support@event0rganiser.co.nz Dear guest guest, Please Active My Account From admin@admin.com Thanks To Register at , The Event Organizer 2 – I would like to re-arrange the options at the bottom so they are vertical. Salary Range and Hours Per Week : ARE MISSING FROM THE LIST 2 – if I add a url in “post a job” without the http:// it goes to the wrong address. VIEW PROJECT 1 – I would like to change “view project & contract jobs” to EVENT JOBS . this should also be changed in JOB TYPE on the jobs search page. 2 – when viewing a project there should be a link to view the related event. PROMOTE A PROJECT 1 - when you click invite people to buy tickets it doesn't give you a "url link" to sent to people with the promoters used id and event code so that they can get there commission ORGANIZE AN EVENT 1 - Event Language : - not working 2 - Repeats : THERE SHOULD BE A "NO REPEAT" Daily Monthly Weekly Yearly 3 – when you select next step – "Post Projects" at the top, should read - SELECT YOUR CATEGORIES http://www.eventtrafik.com/project-post.php?EventID=53 4 - i would like to make it so that its $0.50 per sub category picked. they get 1 category FREE from each of the main categories. the buttons at the bottom of the pick categories page (finish and find service provider) should be removed and changed to a next button. the next button takes them to a page showing all the categories they have picked and how much it will cost them. they can then either click back or next. next will take them to a check out or if they owe nothing to a there MY ACCOUNT - EVENT JOBS page. 5 - SEARCH VENUES..... this has been an issue but i would like to change this. I would like to remove the current search and add a venue feature. Instead: I would like it so it shows a drop down list of venue types. Then it shows a list of the ORGANIZER & VENUES that ticked ⊗ we are a venue for hire. If they don’t find a venue they can just type one in and click INVITE A VENUE TO JOIN PROMOTE EVENT - sell tickets & create guest lists 1 - Sell Your Tickets QTY of Tickets : the ticket numbers are broke !!! they wont change VIEW AN EVENT 1 – it should show the event status. i.e = being organized. 2 - event type & Sub Category :drop drown boxes should be on the same line. NEWS & ARTICLES 1 - would be good to use the good add description box like the one used when adding job / event,. 2 - there is no notice to say if it was posted 3 - would be good to attach files 5 - add to watch list links missing when viewing . SEARCH SERVICES PAGE 1 – I think the search services area should be changed so that anyone can view it. When they do a search it should show the members but you have to be logged in to view a members profile. This goes for the whole site.. 2 - Search venues – This should show a drop down list of venue types. Then it shows a list of the ORGANIZER & VENUES that ticked ⊗ we are a venue for hire. 3 - Search organizers – This should show a list of the ORGANIZER & VENUES that ticked ⊗ I am an event organization company: 4 – the layout of the search services page needs to be different A – the » VENUES link in the right corner can be remover B - Find Event Organisers (only shows event organization companies) members that ticked the box on registration C. Find Venues (only shows venues for hire) members that ticked the box on registration B. Select Event Type First : SEARCH EVENT ORGANISERS : ⊗ -THIS OPTION CAN BE REMOVED OTHER THINGS I WOULD LIKE IN THE FUTURE : 1 – invite members 2 – to re-do the my account area 3 – tag members to events. as work experience 4 – add a equipment watch.
