maxudaskin
Here is an initial website web mockup. Take note that the menu has a 90% opacity. Please excuse the text holder. It has no relation to the website. http://bbyo.byethost9.com/ Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/147381-bbyo-ontario/ Share on other sites
only one
The design is very simple, it's easy to use. A few things though. 1. It doesn't validate. http://validator.w3.org/ 2. Tables aren't made for layouts. Divs are. 3. The picture in the top left with all the people in it could do with some more exposure or some more contrast. It looks a bit too dull. Apart from that I really like it. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/147381-bbyo-ontario/#findComment-773721 Share on other sites
maxudaskin
It now validates. I use the table for the rigid structure (Head, body, footer), and divs elsewhere. I will ponder over the image. nrg_alpha
It now validates. No, it does not (at least, not as of this writing). Nor does your css validate. I use the table for the rigid structure (Head, body, footer), and divs elsewhere. In this day and age, you should not require tables for any layout purposes whatsoever. This can all be done purely in css. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/147381-bbyo-ontario/#findComment-774087 Share on other sites
maxudaskin
It would validate if you actually checked my site instead of mybookvalue.com Click Here Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/147381-bbyo-ontario/#findComment-774132 Share on other sites
nrg_alpha
Your initial link (http://bbyo.byethost9.com/) just redirects automatically to http://mybookface.net/. I have to insert the www. into the URL to successfully see your site. You should test your links when previewing your post to ensure it all works as expected. EDIT (admittedly, I should have made note of the possible www requirement upon redirect..) nrg_alpha
It happens in all browsers I tested this in. Are you sure it isn't your server configuration? Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/147381-bbyo-ontario/#findComment-774197 Share on other sites
maxudaskin
Doesn't happen to me... I don't know. Oh well. :/ Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/147381-bbyo-ontario/#findComment-774199 Share on other sites
