PHP convert RRD file to plain text or xml

Hi, i'm a newbie to phpfreaks! so excuse me if i'm posting in the wrong place.

 

Im a fairly average php user so if this is a simple question i apologise for that too!

 

What i have is a RRD file (round robin databes i think) its full of lots of juicy information.

Is there a way (without installing anything on my server) to just output the contents to a text file? i'm not necessarily wanting it to make it look pretty or anything i just want it displayed in a raw format. Really i jsut want to see what the file contains in a sense.

 

If anyone knows of any methods to do this, or even better to get it to an xml file please let me know.
