I have called data from mysql into a table using echo string

<? echo $row['table_primary']; ?> and

<? echo $row['table_primary2']; ?> ---This works great.

however, when i try to create a new variable

$total_table_primary = $table_primary + $table_primary2;

and try to <? echo $total_table_primary; ?>

I get nothing any ideas?

Thank you sooo much.

so, I called from mysql into table

<? echo $row['table_primary']; ?> & <? echo $row['table_primary2']; ?>

then i create a new variable

$total_table_primary = $row['table_primary'] + $row['table_primary2'];

now I can add new variables

$combined_total_tables = $total_table_primary + $other_created_variable;

and echo new variable

<? echo $combined_total_table?>

One last thing?  I read the manual on number formatting but I can't figure out how to apply it to my echo'd data  please help.

Again thank you for helping me solve the previous issue.
