Searching advice needed

Hi this is the situation

 

I have to make a CV application for a uni project. I have the CV side work and i need some advice on how to make a search engine for it.

 

I am purposing to have an interface where the user can enter in many different criteria but not all of them , listed below

[*]skill name

[*]qualifications

[*]work experience

[*]job sectors worked in

[*]UserName Search

 

What would be the best way to code this to get the results?? Is doing multiple searches ideal for example if the skill name field contains info then run and a search and if the qualification field is also full do another search.
