Anyone got any good tutorials of login register and profile scripts

I am looking for good tutorials of login & Register & Profile php scripts.

So that the user logs in, goes to the homepage, which everyone views, yet at the top theres a link saying profile, or similar, and then you can edit your own profile that nobody else can edit but yourself.

The RosScripts one, I downoaded the files and used install.php, I installed it, yet it had loads of errors, it already had errors anyway. So I don't know on that one.

 

It seems very secure though if the errors were fixed.
