Mail function problem

Hi all,

I got this error:

Warning: mail() [function.mail]: SMTP server response: 503 This mail server requires authentication when attempting to send to a non-local e-mail address. Please check your mail client settings or contact your administrator to verify that the domain or address is defined for this server

Can anybody help me solve this problem? Thanx in advance.

This is telling you that you need to provide a username and password to send mail. Can you paste your mail code here?

Thanx for the quick reply. Here is my code:

 

$to = "[email protected]";

$subject = "XXX";

$message = "XXX";

mail($to, $subject, $message);

The username and password will have been set by your hosting provider and you'll need to get into contact with them for the info.
