hilltopper06
I have a form that sends data to a mysql database. From there it is processed using a PHP script. I use ID numbers to identify individual records (think peoples names). I have a placeholder field set up that I want to contain their actual name, but I do not know how to set a field to the value of a CONCAT statement. For example, I am wanting to do the following: $sql = "update attn_track a SET fullname = CONCAT_WS(', ',b.LastName,b.Firstname) FROM tea_tbl b WHERE a.proc = 'processing' AND a.TeacherSelect = b.fabrik_internal_id IN (SELECT TeacherSelect FROM attn_track WHERE proc = 'processing') "; mysql_query($sql); This is returning NULL for fullname. How do I set fullname to the value of the concat statement? Thanks. hilltopper06
That worked great. I guess I needed to define both tables first. Thanks a bunch.
