Alecdude
I'm trying to implement an item that will allow me to add support for all image files, but it seems to be hesitant and I can't figure out why. Here is the if statement: if(strpos(((string)$_FILES['pork']['type']),"image")) { //stuff } I tested this outside of the if statement, and it returned as 0. If I use it in the if statement, it returns as false. It seems to mess up somewhere. But I haven't the foggiest. Help, please? .josh
0 is the same as false when it comes to boolean comparisons. Alecdude
No, it's because it is in the POSITION of 0. The string being entered is image/somefiletype So it reads image at position 0. PFMaBiSmAd
From the php manual for the function you are using - Warning This function may return Boolean FALSE, but may also return a non-Boolean value which evaluates to FALSE, such as 0 or "". Please read the section on Booleans for more information. Use the === operator for testing the return value of this function. .josh
exactly. Since it's inside the condition, when it returns 0, the condition is looking at it as false, because... 0 is the same as false when it comes to boolean comparisons.
