noisyscanner
Hiya guys, What I have is a page with mega long list of all my games. What I need is to display my games is 3 tables for example. How would I go about doing this? Thanks! Brad PS my code is: <?php // Make a MySQL Connection mysql_connect("localhost", "brad291", "ufx366") or die(mysql_error()); mysql_select_db("brad291_games") or die(mysql_error()); // Get all the data from the "example" table $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM games") or die(mysql_error()); echo "<table border='1'>"; echo "<tr> <th>Game</th> </tr>"; // keeps getting the next row until there are no more to get while($row = mysql_fetch_array( $result )) { // Print out the contents of each row into a table echo "<tr><td>"; ?> <a href="http://members.universalgames.biz/play.php?id=<?php echo($row['id']); ?>"> <?php echo ($row['game']); ?> </a> <?php echo "</td></tr>"; } echo "</table>"; ?> Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/154102-how-can-i-display-a-list-in-multiple-tables/ Share on other sites
revraz
Why not just use pagination? Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/154102-how-can-i-display-a-list-in-multiple-tables/#findComment-810065 Share on other sites
R4nk3d
echo it into an array: $games = array(); $i = 1; //input connection info here while($row = mysql_fetch_array($query)) { $games[$i] = $row[0]; $i ++; } Now you can call it at a later point and echo it like so: echo "Game 1: ".$games[1]; Now it could echo something like: Game 1: Halo 2 Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/154102-how-can-i-display-a-list-in-multiple-tables/#findComment-810089 Share on other sites
