CodyBecker Posted May 2, 2009 Share Posted May 2, 2009 I need major help im working with PHP and I want to use AJAX (or at least I was told to use AJAX) to auto update my php information instead of using meta refresh every second, that inturn crashes my server. I have the jQuery.js file in my directory but from there on i cant understand the googled help. Ken2k7 Posted May 2, 2009 Share Posted May 2, 2009 jQuery AJAX Take a look at the examples and give it a try. You're not going to understand AJAX by reading it, I can assure you. You'll have to get your hands dirty and really try it out. Read up on the examples, and try them out. Even copy and paste the examples if you have to. My first link is there to explain what AJAX is, not how to write it. You need to know what AJAX is. That helps a lot, trust me. When I first started AJAX, it's very hard and confusing. It helps to read up on what it does and then really get your hands dirty and try it out. You're *not* going to understand it by reading alone. If you need help, don't hesitate to ask, but I don't think this is a tutoring class.
