Long Articles displayed in multiple pages

First off: Did a search and could find much.

Here's my problem. I'll be having articles stored in a database but the catch is, I can not have ANY of the articles scroll beyond 600 pixels in height or not much scrolling if possible. I'm wondering if someone can point me in the general direction to a script or tutorial on something like this.
