Per Google, apparently a lot of people have troubles with this issue and I have yet to find a fix. If it really frustrates you, you can try a checkbox. It's going to be a bit tacky though. The layout is definitely not as nice. You can't even change the colors of the scrollbars in Firefox. That's an IE restricted styling for now. *Ken2k7 walks away in shame.
