my client conducts a monthly survey on their web site, using a basic cgi form that sends an email to a specific address with the answers from the cgi survey form the user filled out.

once a year, the client sends out a large ebulletin that makes a larger number of people fill out the survey than usual.  last year, this created the problem of a number of the surveys got lost due to the responses clogging up the receiving email's inbox.

when talking to our email provider about this, we were told that we could 'edit the cgi script' to handle large email responses.  Of course, no one would tell me how to do this, nor have i found a suitable answer online via google searches on the topic of 'handling a large email cgi form submission' (wording like that).

Is there anyone here that might have an idea of how i could solve this problem?  Or should I just tell the client to send out their ebulletin's in batches this year, to hopefully bypass the problem all together?

I'd really appreciate any response.  Thank you
