fry2010 Posted May 13, 2009 Share Posted May 13, 2009 Hi all, I am having trouble running PEAR. It has installed correctly and nearly runs, but I come accross two errors as I execute pear in the command promtpt. "this application failed to start because aspell-15.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this." The other one I have sorted it was the same thing, I just removed the file. But when I remove the php_pspell.dll from extensions, I do not get this error BUT the pear screen comes up and then goes away automatically so I cant even read what the error is. When I put the php_pspell.dll back in the error crops up again. Anyone have any ideas? And yes I have looked around google and the documents, the only things I found was people suggesting it was a bug and then the replys stating - this is not a bug, install correctly.... Amazing that other people have this problem yet we are not installing correctly even though we follow the documentation to the letter... fry2010 Posted May 13, 2009 Author Share Posted May 13, 2009 actually what the real issue is, I need to grab rss feeds from other sites and found that I needed PEAR to do this. But I have just looked at phpinfo() and it shows that xml reading etc is enabled. Do I really need PEAR to parse xml documents?
