RasielD Posted May 20, 2009 Share Posted May 20, 2009 Based on the responses I got in this thread, it looks like I might want to create a database and code a php system that connects to it. To me, this seems a bit more dificult and complex then what I had originally wanted for a simple site news thing, but if it is easier use in the long run, I'd like to try to put something that will do the following together now. On the home page, I'd like this thing to show the 5 most recent pieces of news/updates and, on another page, a news archive of sorts from which people can look up older news/updates. I have no idea where to start on this. I've never worked with databases or php before, so could anyone direct me to some tutorials/code that I could use to start trying to make this thing or pass me a site or two that has the code to do something similar that I could implement?
