cs1h
hi, I am using some anchor links on my site for getting to specific images, but the problem is that I want people to be able to go straight back to the previous page without them have to press back several times because they have pressed on several anchors. Does anyone know if there is a way to do this with javascript so that the anchors work but do not change the URL? Thanks, Cs1h Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/162139-anchor-link-alternative/ Share on other sites
jacksonmj
Use the scrollIntoView method to go to the element when an anchor link is clicked. For example: <script type="text/javascript"> function anchorLink(anchorLinkElement) { document.getElementById(anchorLinkElement.hash.substr(1)).scrollIntoView(1); return false; } </script> <a href="#test" onclick="return anchorLink(this)">Test</a> Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/162139-anchor-link-alternative/#findComment-855596 Share on other sites
