ChiliASP

Barand,

I agree with you. Also, there is more online docs and tutorials for php. However, some of my customers swear by asp and will not accept php. Even though I tried telling them that I could do the same scripting with php(even more and alot faster) they will not listen.

I love to learn anyways. Getting proficient in both asp and php will do me no harm. I am also studying  java, C++ and Visual Basic.

I just thought I would put this post here in case anyone else was interested in experimenting with asp. I knew that I was going to offend all the hard core phpfreaks..lol

Thanks,
Tom

No harm in a second string to your bow. Because some spotty-faced adolescent "consultant" told my boss we should stick to Microshaft products he insists on ASP.

He recently sent a colleague of mine on a Visual Studio / ASP course. When he got back to the office he (colleague) tried demonstrating the virtues of the datagrid object. After placing several components on a form he then had to try to debug the code that VS generated.

Meanwhile, 5 lines of PHP using my baaGrid class and it was working. Not sure if if he's got his datagrid working yet. Even showed my boss this article but he still won't change his mind.
