apacheguy
Can you please explain what you mean when you say "mail function is not working?" I am not aware of any mail function in apache. apacheguy
This sounds more like a php script error and not related to apache. Maybe you should try posting this in another one of the forum topics if you want more advice. But I can tell you that there isn't any default "smtp server address in windows xp." If you mean sendmail (which is sort of like an smtp server), that is available on other platforms such as Linux, but not on windows xp. There are other programs similar to sendmail that have been adapted for windows users. Chetan
And you have to post this in the other Servers as it is mail or PHP helpAnd to answer your questionGet ArGoSoft mail server if you want to only be able to send email from your computerGet Mercury/32 if you also want to recieve emailsIn both the cases set your smtp server to localhost in PHP.iniand also set the port to 25 unless you change itIn both the cases you also have to allow relaying or it would not work.I know you are not as advanced so Google for tutorials to install these programs Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/16490-sending-mail-using-mail-server/#findComment-73569 Share on other sites
