scriptaculous in IE leaves text without antialiasing

Hello All,

 

I'm having a problem with javascript and Scriptaculous in Internet Explorer. ( my current version is 8 )

 

When I use the Scriptaculous functions like Effect.Appear and Effect.Fade, it removes all smoothness, or antialiasing from the text and makes it very choppy and rough.

 

This does not happen in Firefox or Safari. Has anyone found a fix for this?
