sarathi
so I have for my div .test { font-family:courier,verdana; color:blue; font-size:12pt; } <div class="test">test text</div> but the page is dynamic, and sometimes there might be <strong> or <em> tags around the div, but I don't want the html tags to change the text in the div. Is this possible? Thanks. Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/168160-make-css-style-on-an-object-overwrite-html/ Share on other sites
rhodesa
#1 - STRONG and EM tags are in-line elements and shouldn't be around a block level tag like a DIV If you meant to say INSIDE the DIV, you can always override them: .test { font-family:courier,verdana; color:blue; font-size:12pt; } .test strong{ font-family:courier,verdana; color:blue; font-size:12pt; } Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/168160-make-css-style-on-an-object-overwrite-html/#findComment-887104 Share on other sites
