mellis95
I am not sure whether this should be in PHP forum or MySQL forum, but here it goes... I have the following variable: $$dxx='$p13[' .$doc_path. '_dx]'; I would like to use that variable in the WHERE clause of a SELECT statement. However, I can only get it to pass the variable name in the where clause instead of the variable value. Here is the query I am working with: $dx="SELECT description FROM tbl_icd9 WHERE code=" .${$dxx}. ""; Which produces the following output: SELECT description FROM tbl_icd9 WHERE code=$p13[ot_dx] What I really need is the value of $p13[ot_dx], which comes from a different SELECT query earlier in the code. Basically, I need the completed query to output the following: SELECT description FROM tbl_icd9 WHERE code=299 Thank you in advance for the help. wildteen88
Should be $$dxx= $p13[$doc_path . '_dx']; Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/170093-solved-variable-variables/#findComment-897291 Share on other sites
