HI,

I have

Database whose name is b15_4016235_BurraqDb01

Inside Database a table named stdresults

Table has just two fields  1.  RollNo  and  2.  Result

I want when user put RollNo in TextBox and Click the Submit button His result will shown.

I am facing problem in assigning sql query to button, so that it gives result against the RollNo entered in Textbox.

My code is as under

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
    "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<title>Burraq Online University</title>
<meta http-equiv="content-type"
    content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
</head>
<body>

<form action="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; ?>" method="post">

  	<div>	<label for="RollNo">  Student's Roll No:
    		<input type="text" name="RollNo" id="RollNo"/></label></div>

  	<div> <input type="submit" value="Show Result"/> </div>
</form>

<?php

//01. Connect to the database server
$link = @mysql_connect('localhost', 'root', '');
if (!$link) {
  		exit('<p>Unable to connect to the ' .'database server at this time.</p>');
}

//02. Select the b15_4016235_BurraqDb01 database
if (!@mysql_select_db('b15_4016235_BurraqDb01')) {
  		exit('<p>Unable to locate the joke ' . 'database at this time.</p>');
}

//03. get results

?>
</body>
</html>
