ryy705
Hello, I am trying to install PHP on window server 2003(with IIS6) that has live ASP websites. I've downloaded VC9 x86 Thread Safe msi file from http://windows.php.net/download/ Could someone tell me the difference between the Thread Safe version and the Non Thread Safe version? Why have a version that is not thread safe? What kind of precautions should I take so I do not end up damaging the ASP installation? Many thanks in advance. I have always worked with PHP on LAMP servers never windows. So, any input will be highly appreciated. wildteen88
For IIS you should download the version labelled as VC9 x86 Thread Safe. Download the zip package not the msi installer. Extract the contents of the zip to C:/PHP. For setting up IIS6 with PHP read this article Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/172492-solved-how-to-install-php/#findComment-909622 Share on other sites
