Ok, so I just recently switched from Xampp to WAMP, because of problems I've had with Xampp crashing.  Now, I am attempting to install WAMP onto my WD portable My Passport USB HD.  I have never attempted to install any programs onto a usb mass storage device, but I'm not sure if it will even work.  I have already installed WAMP and have started all services.  When I attempt to visit the localhost directory in Firefox, it seems like it's loading for an infinite amount of time(which is obviously impossible to determine), but it just keeps loading and displays a white page.  I already have localhost and the 127.0.0 whatever it is in my host file.

I'm starting to think that installing wamp onto a portable hard drive won't even work.  What do you guys think?

Well bro...how did u install it on the HDD? If you use WinRAR and install it on the WD HDD and use it as a second drive and start up...WAMP...it should work....and if u look up ur local host it should come up....if not use apache I never had any sutch problems and I can run apache from a cd on any comp...

Let me know how it goes...maybe I can be at ferther help...

Hope I helped you bro!

Darco

Did you check Apache config files?

I don't know how advances WAMP installer is, but as far as I remember not too much. It expects that WampServer will be installed in c:\wamp period, so Apache configuration might indicate c:\wamp\www as Apaches document root.
