Would there be a way to have a drop down box containing DB variables and someone could select one of those in the box and then it would store it in a variable and use it in a mySQL Query? Thanks for any help. I'm assuming that $_POST, $_GET would come into play here..

sure :) heres a simple example:

// connect etc
$q = mysql_query("SELECT id, name FROM employees LIMIT 10");
echo "<form><select name='id'>";
while ($r = mysql_fetch_assoc($q)) {
  echo "<option value='{$r['id']}'>{$r['name']}</option>";
}
echo "</select><input type='submit' value='submit' /></form>";

and the php to use the result

mysql_query("SELECT * FROM employees WHERE id = '{$_POST['id']}'");
