I am trying to Create an XHTML table using a for loop in php.

The table's content is as follows:

1 1

2 4

3 9

4 16

5 25

I can figure out how to do the first colum on the left but I can't figure out how to one on the right.

here is my code so far

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
        "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
<head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type"
        content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
</head>
<title>Assignment 3</title>
<h3>Assignment 3</h3>
<body>
<?php

echo "<table width='100' align='left' border='1'>";
for($i=0; $i<=5; $i=$i+1)
{
	if($i % 2 == 0)
	{
		echo "<tr>";
		echo "<td>";
		echo $i;
		echo "</td>";
		echo "</tr>";
	}
	else
	{
		echo "<tr>";
		echo "<td>";
		echo $i;
		echo "</td>";
		echo "</tr>";
	}
}
echo "</table>";

?>
</body>
</html>

any help would be appreciated, thanks in advanced.
