RamRaider
hi everyone today I wrote a script that suggests alternative URLS when a 404 is encountered. On the whole it works very well but has thrown up one anomaly which is listed elsewhere on the web (using Google) but I can find no explanation. When suggesting an alternative for the homepage, which I deliberately mistyped as 'indez.php' rather than index.php the script that returns alternatives produced a very strange suggestion - namely '/includes/reources/fakerecordset.res.php'.... As the PHP code on my site has all been written by myself (other than perhaps the odd snippet here and there) I know that this file does not exist and has never existed. Can anyone shed any light on what this anomaly is and whether this is an intentional part of PHP? sKunKbad
That seems to be an awstats file, so perhaps your code is suggesting pages that exist, and this file must exist. Do you use awstats? My awestats is accessible through the control panel of my website. It's location on the server is above root though.... RamRaider
hi sKunKbad Thanks for the response - having now had a look I can see this file which makes me feel rather stoopid for not spotting it before ~ must have downloaded some modules to try them out and forgot all about them!
