[SOLVED] PHP Code Help

I have just set up an IRC chat on my website. I want it to open in a new tab when members click on it. I have already tried putting target="_blank" in various places but I can't find how to get it to work.

 

Here is the code I have so far: 

 

<?php if($userStatus > 2){echo(" <a href='irc.php'>STD IRC</a>  | ");} ?>

 

I know I need to add target="_blank" but I'm not sure where. Anyone help?

My friend and I sorted this problem.

 

$sql = mysql_query("delete from `x` where `Time` = 0");

 

This was all I needed to add. It that scans the Database before entries are entered and deletes all entries with a timestamp of 0000-00-00.
