need help in css positioning

hi i have a problem in positioning ul. i have a banner at the left of my page and over that banner i have created ul for navigation(main menu) but the problem is its position. it appears at the top right corner of my banner. what i want is to make it alittle down not much but alittle round about 150px.

I think you forgot to add px  there >> top: 140;
