isedeasy
Hi Everyone. I have a site that I am developing which has member logins and an admin panel containing my custom CMS. I want to add a forum to my site that ties in with what I have already. I don't have a problem with styling an existing forum to match the design of the site its the back end I fell I may have issues with. Does anyone have experience with merging a forum into a site so that logins are the same etc? Is it hard to do? Are there forums out there that are ideal for this? I don't need a forum with all the latest features, just one that would be easy to tie into my existing database. Cheers for any pointers p.s Sorry if this is the wrong place but I was not sure where to put this Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/182918-integrating-a-forum-into-a-custom-cms/ Share on other sites
waynew
Well firstly, you're going to have to figure out how the CMS manages passwords (hashing etc) and modify the forum software to work the same way.
