Populate textbox on one page from another page

I have a page which allows you to add items to an order by entering a part number and quantity. I have a link on that same page that opens a list of items that are available to be ordered on another page. I would like to be able to click one of the items on the new page, have it enter that item number into the order page and close the item list.

 

Is this possible?
