I firstly want to know if such a thing is possible to accomplish using javascript.

This is done in flash, but i'm looking to replicate such animation with javascript.

Any links scripts code snippets will help.

go to http://studiotroypaul.com/ and click on Editorial Pg1 and see how the images slide over.

This is kinda similar to Lightbox with a slide left and right effect though.

Thanks!

I don't know of any tutorials, but this is possible.

here is an example, copy and paste this into an html file to see what happens:

<script>
var interval = setInterval('moveBox()', 10);
function moveBox(){
	var box = document.getElementById('box');
	var pos = box.offsetLeft;
	box.style.left = pos + 5 +'px';
	if(box.offsetLeft + 110 > window.innerWidth){
		clearInterval(interval);
		alert('Movement Complete!');
	}
}
</script>

<style>
#box{
	background-color:#FF0000;
	width:100px;
	height:100px;
	position:absolute;
}
</style>

<div id="box"></div>
